Dartford crashed out of this year's F.A. Trophy on Sunday when they were beaten 3-0 by Ryman League side Northwood. The Darts survived an early let off after 7 minutes when Craig McIntosh fired a low shot from 20 yards which Steve Williams did well to beat out but the loose ball fell to Lawrence Yaku who hit the rebound against the foot of a post and the ball then rebounded to safety.

At the other end, following a long throw from Shane Holbrook, the loose ball dropped to Simon Roberts but he was off balance and Paul Riordan in the visitors' goal was able to make the save. After 27 minutes, Nick Barnes beat two defenders but his cross cum shot was well held by Riordan.

Eight minutes before the break, Northwood took the lead when Yaku broke down the right. He pulled a cross back and after Chris Gell had stepped over the ball, Gavin Hart sidefooted a shot home from ten yards.

The visitors eased into the next round in the second half when Yaku scored with a shot from twelve yards after 54 minutes and five minutes later a bad pass from Barnes was intercepted by Steve Hale, who netted easily from close range.

Dartford's best effort of the second half was when Chris Arnold struck a post after 78 minutes.

Dartford: Williams, Adlington, Evans (Scott 70 mins), Pointer, L. Morrish (Nicholson 78 mins), Roberts, Barnes (McTaggart 63 mins), Guiver, Arnold, Jones and Holbrook. Subs Not Used - Sawyer and Cole.

Attendance 186.
