25TH APRIL 2001

Darts winning run comes to an end with a poor performance against Ashford Town, losing 2-1. Roy Godden scored DFC's goal.

23RD APRIL 2001

Darts make it 3 wins on the spin by defeating Langney Sports away tonight, 2-1. Goals from Glenn McTaggart and Lee Guiver saw the Darts home.

21ST APRIL 2001

Another three points as Dartford defeat Banbury Utd. Roy Goddens 61st minute goal sealed it for the Darts after being reduced to ten men in the first half, as Tom Adlington is sent off for two bookable offences.

16TH APRIL 2001

A vital three points for Dartford as they defeated former landlords Erith and Belvedere 2-1 in a match with a delayed kick-off due to the Linesman not turning up on time. Darts went one behind in the first half, but playing up the slope, scored twice in the second half, Roy Godden and Mike Morgan scoring the goals, in a well-deserved win.

14TH APRIL 2001

A match that was crucial for the Darts and it ended up 1-1 with Roy Godden's deflected shot beating a resistant Sittingbourne goalkeeper in the 90th minute.

11TH APRIL 2001

Darts get a well deserved point against league hopefuls Grantham Town, drawing 2-2. Chris Arnold scored both of Dartford's goals, one in the 85th minute.

9TH APRIL 2001

Darts battle but to no avail, as Hastings win 2-1. Darts were stripped to the barebones, and gave a first start to Stephen Johns. Chris Arnold scored the Darts goal.

7TH APRIL 2001

Today's game against Langney Sports was postponed and left with a shroud of anger for both sides. Called off at about 1.45pm, Dartford reached Langney to hear of the postponement. On examination of the pitch, there seemed to be nothing wrong with the pitch. Both sides are now left with a backlog of games, with Dartford possibly facing 3 games in 3 days. Vent your spleen on the matter here.

3RD APRIL 2001

After the disappointment of Saturday's match, Dartford gained an oh-so-valuable point away at well placed Baldock, and also kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw. Report to follow...

31ST MARCH 2001

Dartford put in, arguably, their worst performance of the season to a strong Stamford side who crushed the Darts 4-0. Report is up.

26TH MARCH 2001

Dartford get well earned point at home v Bashley. Debutants Roy Godden and Mike Morgan both make an appearance.

24TH MARCH 2001

Again, the weather takes its toll on Dartford FC as the reserve team and the first team games both fall foul of the weather. COME ON ENGLAND....

19TH MARCH 2001

My prediction of no play came true as Dartford's away game at Hastings was postponed. DFC Reserves played at Ashford Reserves and came back with a 2-2 draw. Goals from Richard Usherwood (2) gave the Darts a point.

19TH MARCH 2001

As of tonight's weather report, apparently there may be some chance of play together. I personally am not holding out any hope, because with the weather as unpredictable as ever... any thing can happen. (and probably WILL!)

Coach Times for BANBURY UTD: (Call myself on 01322 221582 to book your seat!)

11.00am @ Overy Street

11.15am @ Watling Street Cemetary

17TH MARCH 2001

Game called off today, after heavy overnight rain, and.. you guessed it... snow. No date rearranged yet...

15TH MARCH 2001

Darts battled away, but failed to come out of tonights game with Chelmsford. A 1-0 defeat was the score, but Dartford should take heart from a good performance against a strong Chelmsford side.

12TH MARCH 2001

Tonights game against Chelmsford City has been postponed, due to the absolutely terrible weather this afternoon. REARRANGED FOR THURSDAY NIGHT THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!

7TH MARCH 2001

Dartford suffered a blow in their league campaign when Ashford defeated them. A first half penalty sealed the Darts fate 1-0, although like recent weeks, the Darts battled away, and came close on more than one occasion.

3RD MARCH 2001

An epic match at the Rockingham Triangle stadium saw Dartford defeat Corby Town 4-3. Darts goalscorers were Chris Arnold with two goals, taking his tally up to 19 for the season, Lee Guiver and Shane Holbrook. Eddie McGoldrick's Corby side fought back in both halves to make it a tense finish.

27TH FEBRUARY 2001

Dartford crash out of Kent Senior Cup against Bromley 3-1 After Extra Time. Dartford went behind early on, and their cause wasnt helped, when Ian Ross missed a penalty, but Darts battled back, and Chris Arnold sent the tie into Extra Time, where tired legs couldnt keep going. 2 goals and a sending off for Bromley in the 2nd period of Extra Time saw Darts crash out. Oh Well...

24TH FEBRUARY 2001

A Luke Morrish header after 37 minutes, gives Dartford a well-needed, and deserved win against Langney Sports. Report up for this game.

17TH FEBRUARY 2001

1-0 Defeat for the Darts puts them back in the Danger-Zone.

16TH FEBRUARY 2001

Tomorrow sees Dartford take on local rivals Tonbridge Angels in the Doc Martens Eastern Division match, with Tonbridge's form being the better of the two sides. Unbeaten in 7 away games, the Angels have the upperhand on paper, but when they travel to Ship Lane, will the Angels be subjected to a hell-ish afternoon at the hands of the Darts? Dartford look likely to be missing Lee Guiver with the injury picked up last week at Stamford, and possibly Tom Adlington, but returning is Glenn McTaggart from suspension.

12TH FEBRUARY 2001

Tonight's basement battle against Wisbech postponed after a whole afternoon of rain.

 10TH FEBRUARY 2001

Dartford get a good away point against Stamford today. Substitute Frankie Cole hit Dartford's goal with a 30yd screamer. However, 3 minutes before time, Stamford equalised.

9TH FEBRUARY 2001

The word from Stamford is that there will not be a pitch inspection before tomorrow's match, so perhaps Dartford will actually get to play! Coach leaves at 10.45 Overy Street, 11.00 Watling Street. To book up, call me on 07979 372098.

3RD FEBRUARY 2001

27TH JANUARY 2001
Darts beaten away at Bashley in a poor match, 3-0. Nuff Said.

Darts are held 1-1 at home to Burnham. A deflected Shane Holbrook goal gave the Darts the lead, but a penalty from Burnham ensured a share of the spoils..

20TH JANUARY 2001
Match called off after a waterlogged pitch. The inclement weather obviously costs the Darts another match.

13TH JANUARY 2001
Darts lose their 7 match unbeaten run at Chelmsford with a 1-0 defeat, in which Dartford battled for 90 minutes and played relatively well against an unimpressive Chelmsford. Chelmsford's goal came after 82 minutes and was heavily deflected..

6TH JANUARY 2001
Darts hit by weather once again as today's match is called off. Again.

1ST JANUARY 2001

30TH DECEMBER 2000
Darts xmas fixtures resulted in a slightly disappointing 2 points.Saturday saw Darts leading by a single own goal at histon right up till the 84th minute when the home side equalised.Boxing day saw Darts undeservedly behind to Erith & Belvedere, before Chris Arnold converted a great Mark Greatorex cross,to give Darts a share of the spoils again. Todays clash with Wisbech has predictably fallen foul of the weather. The outlook isn't to good for Mondays clash at Sittingbourne either.

16TH DECEMBER 2000
Darts continued their winning ways with a 1-0 defeat of Hastings Town today. The only goal came from a second minute penalty by Lee Guiver, who also missed a chance to seal the win when he placed an 85th minute penalty to close to the visiting keeper.Darts then had to sweat as the ref played an incredible 9 mins of injury time, before the win was assured.

15TH DECEMBER 2000
Dartford have signed former crowd favourite Mark Greatorex on loan from Margate.Speaking to the local press Manager gary Julians said"Wothout doubt we now have two of the quickest wingers in the league.I've managed to get mark for the busy xmas period, and between them we expect to stretch defences and create chances. But Mark can also score goals, hold the ball up well, and relieve pressure.Im delighted hes chosen to rejoin us".He also added" With all the recnt postponements it ahs been a frustrating time, especially as we just seem to be running into form.We put in extra training but players lose their match fitness, but at least we have had time to get the christmas shopping in". The lay off has allowed captain Luke Morrish to recover from a virus, and he should feature against Hastings.

11TH DECEMBER 2000
Darts have announced a tie up with third division Leyton Orient,in which Darts will become the senior teams nursery club. This will involve Darts blooding Orients youngsters to a higher level of football than youth team standard, with the pick of the young Darts going the other direction.

9TH DECEMBER 2000
