In the first ever meeting between the two clubs, Dartford emerged as winners by scoring the only goal of the game and earning a valuable three points in their quest to avoid relegation.

Dartford had the first half-chance, when the lively Lee Guiver hooked the ball straight at Packham in the Langney goal from the edge of the 6 yard box.

They scored the only goal of the game after 37 minutes when the visiting goalkeeper, Will Packham, completely misjudged a corner from Lee Jones, and captain Luke Morrish was on hand to head home from close range.

Although the visitors had plenty of possession in the second half, Steve Williams in the Dartford goal and the rest of his defence rest were able to prevent the visitors from equalising.

Langney's best chance of the half came on 44 minutes, when a curling 25 yard effort from Matt Crabb was tipped over by Steve Williams in the Darts' goal. However, Dartford missed a good chance to extend their lead in injury time, after a neat back heel from Jones set up Mark Greatorex, who got underneath the ball and fired over.

On 49 minutes, Tom Adlington intercepted a Crabb cross and headed over his own keeper onto the roof of the net, whilst Jones flashed a shot across the Langney goal shortly afterwards.

On 78 minutes, an overhead kick from Snelgrove flew over the bar, and three minutes from time a powerful downwards header from Colbran bounced up and was tipped over by Williams.
