Dartford virtually secured their Doctor Martens status for next season, when they travelled to Langney Sports on Monday night.

Missing Luke Morrish from the defence, and Chris Arnold only on the bench, both after picking up knocks on Saturday, the Darts started off under immense pressure.

The travelling fans couldnt have been blamed for expecting an away defeat, when on 11 minutes, Clinton More crossed from the right hand side, and Matt Crabb finished at the third time of asking.

However, Dartford soon began to find some momentum, and equalised on 18 minutes when Lee Guiver's persistance managed to beat the Langney defence, and his ball to Glenn McTaggart was slotted home from 8 yards.

Dartford, then, took the lead on 34 minutes, when Michael Morgan's 25 yard free-kick was poorly punched away by Simon Davey, and Guiver nodded home from close range.

Dartford could well have had another goal on 42 minutes, when Morgan's jinking run past the Langney defence culminated in him shaving the post with a right footed volley, worthy of a goal.

The second half was harder for the Darts as Langney pushed hard for an equaliser, but the Darts soaked up an immense amount of pressure.

On 80 minutes, Steve Williams dragged down Nathan Godden in the penalty area, and was booked, after referee Ian Bentley adjudged Godden to have been going away from goal. Daren Pearce stepped up to take the spot kick, and saw his shot saved well by Williams, keeping the three points for the Darts.
