The gap between the Premier Division and the Eastern Division was clearly illustrated on Sunday when Dartford's run in this year's F.A. Cup came to an end. The visitors ran out easy winners as they brushed aside their hosts with ease.

Dartford fell behind after nine minutes when Paul Wood crossed from the left and Jamie O'Rourke's header gave Dartford keeper, Steve Williams no chance from six yards out.

After 23 minutes, Williams made a good save from veteran striker David Leworthy but a minute later, he was powerless to stop Havant going further ahead. A cross from Ben Price appeared to be handled by Wood but when the loose ball fell to Tim Hambley, the ex Fisher player lashed the ball home from 12 yards out.

Dartford's best efforts of the half came following a quick throw from Williams, Nick Barnes ran half the length of the pitch before having his shot blocked and Chris Arnold show wide across the goal. From the resulting goal kick, Barnes won a header in midfield and this time although Lee Guiver was first to react to the loose ball, his shot went wide too.

In the second half, the Darts had a good opportunity to pull a goal back after 53 minutes but following a Barnes cross, Simon Roberts glanced a header wide from close range even though he was unmarked at the back post. Dartford were almost immediately punished when Hambley was given too much room in midfield and scored with a fine shot into the top corner from 25 yards out.

Dartford's misery was complete in stoppage time when Williams spilled a long-range shot and substitute James Taylor netted from close range.

Dartford: Williams, Adlington, Evans, Scott (A. Morrish 72 mins), L. Morrish, Roberts, Barnes, Guiver, Arnold, Jones and Pointer (Usherwood 66 mins). Subs not used: Cole, S. Johns and Longhurst.

Attendance 302.
