Dartford finally found the golden touch against Dr Martens Premier Division side Fisher Athletic (London) in an epic Kent Senior Cup First Round encounter.
The action started off reasonably slow but Dartford picked up the tempo halfway through the half. A good Dartford build-up play saw Chris Arnold twist and turn through the Fisher defence only to put his shot over the top in the 27th Minute. However, Dartford deservedly took the lead after 35 minutes when Simon Roberts through-ball found Glenn McTaggart 30 yards from goal. McTaggart saw the Fisher keeper, Maurice Munden off his line and expertly chipped the ball into the net.
However, Fisher managed to get an equaliser 41 minutes in, when Hamad Barr hit a close range volley past Steve Williams in the Dartford goal.
However, Dartford came out in the second half and put on a superb show for the fans as after 60 minutes, Shane Holbrook ran from inside his own half, past 3 players and into the penalty area where he rounded Munden and slotted home.
Nine minutes later, Lee Jones' corner was cleared by Munden, only to Ian Ross who lashed a 20 yard volley into the top of the net.
Substitute Lionel Best should have given Fisher a lifeline on 70 minutes when he brought the ball into the area, but found only an inspired save by Williams.
However, Fisher did get another goal, from Barr again who ran through and slid the ball under Steve Williams in the 75th Minute.
Indeed, one minute later, he could have grabbed his hat-trick but for the weather. He shot under Williams but the ball slowed up on the line and Williams managed to save it on the line.
This gave Dartford a boost and on 83 minutes, McTaggart passed to Chris Arnold who ran past the static defence and shot low into the net.
This set the Darts up for a 7 minute goal frenzy and 2 minutes later, Arnold doubled his tally and met a long clearance from the superb Williams and placed the ball past Munden and into the net.
Hamad Barr could have scored again, from 20 yards but for another inspired save from Steve Williams.
But, Dartford weren't to be denied and on 90 minutes, Chris Arnold was hacked down in the area by Ray Powell, and Lee Guiver dispatched of the penalty to send Dartford through convincingly.

DFC: Williams, Holbrook, Evans, Scott, L.Morrish, Roberts, McTaggart (Cole 87), Guiver, Arnold, Jones (Nicholson 88) and Ross (Pointer 86).
