Dartford gained a point from their Dr Martens Eastern Division game on Wednesday night when they drew 1-1 with Burnham. The Darts were without key defenders Tom Adlington and Danny Evans through injury and suffered a further setback when Mark Greatorex failed a fitness test before the game. However, they had the better chances early on when after 9 minutes Luke Morrish rose above the visitor's defence to meet Ian Ross' corner but David Smalley in the Burnham goal. After 23 minutes Glenn McTaggart met a cross from Shane Holbrook but his effort rebounded off a post from close range. At the other end, Steve Williams was rarely troubled but did have to make saves from long range efforts from Mark O'Sullivan and Martin Vrhovski. The Darts took the lead after 52 minutes when a low cross from the left by Holbrook was deflected into his own goal by Spencer Walsh. Burnham equalised after 72 minutes when the referee awarded them |
