Burnham and Dartford swapped places at the bottom of the table as the Darts let a first half lead slip on Saturday. It all started well for the Darts as they took the lead after only nine minutes of the game. Chris Arnold did well to hold off a home defender before placing a left-footed shot into the top corner of the net from the edge of the penalty area. After 18 minutes, a flowing move down the left involving Shane Holbrook and Mal Pointer resulted in Lee Guiver's cross being met by Arnold but this time the young striker's shot was wide of the target. Nine minutes later, Arnold was felled on the edge of the area and from the resulting free kick, Nick Barnes curled a shot over the wall but the ball hit the crossbar and was cleared to safety. At the other end, Steve Williams was forced to make good saves from Reuben Howell and Craig O'Connor but the Darts still had two further opportunities to increase their lead, firstly after 37 minutes when Pointer headed over the bar following Guiver's cross. Two minutes later, Holbrook opened up the home defence before seeing his shot saved by the feet of goalkeeper, Michael Bolger. Within a minute of the start of the second half, Burnham were level when Paul Sampson passed to Howell and he shot home from eight yards off the underside of the crossbar. After 65 minutes, Holbrook again broke through the Burnham defence and managed to round Bolger but when he pulled the ball back to Guiver, his shot crashed off the underside of the crossbar and was cleared. Six minutes later, Burnham went ahead when the Dartford defence failed to deal with a speculative cross from the left and Sampson looped a header over Williams and into the net. In the final minute, Dartford's misery was complete when they added a third goal. Dartford: Williams, Adlington, Evans, Pointer, L. Morrish, Roberts, Barnes, Guiver, Arnold, Jones and Holbrook (Usherwood 89 mins). Subs not used: Scott and P. Johns. Attendance 102.
